Welcome to the Salem Chapter of Lavender Womyn. Salem was the first Lavender Womyn chapter started back in June of 2003. Since then, we have grown to over 300 members for the Salem group, and have added the Eugene, Corvallis-Albany, Portland, Grants Pass, Central Kentucky, Louisville Kentucky, and New Hampshire Chapters.
The Salem Chapter gets together several times throughout the year for various events. We still have new members joining us almost every week, even though we have been in existence for over 5 years. I don't think we've had a single event where there has not been several new faces in the group.
In addition, we've had some other groups develop from our large group. There has been the Kayaking Klub, Photography Club, and our very own Lavender Womyn Personals was started in May of 2006.

There's a lot of information available on this web site. I hope you will take some time to get familiar with it, and all it has to offer. I'm always open to new ideas and suggestions for improvement, so please don't hesitate to share your ideas. I have learned a lot over the past couple of years about what's involved in leading a group of this size, and I know I will continue to learn as we continue to grow. I've also had some great ideas come from our members, so keep those ideas rolling in!
